4L Ministries Comments Policy
Christian Educator Weekly (CEW), a Ministry of 4L Ministries

As you know, Web 2.0 is all about the conversation. But without a few simple ground rules, that conversation can turn into a shouting match (or worse) that discourages others from entering into the fray.

So here is the comments policy of 4L Ministries (we and our below). By posting on this blog, you agree to the following:

  1. You may comment without registering. At present, we do not have registration for comments, but when that begins you can post here by logging in, or not, its up to you.
  2. You may post anonymously. We do not recommend this, but you may do so if you wish. This rule may be changed if it is abused.
  3. You may post follow-up questions. If you have a question, chances are you are not alone. Others are likely thinking similarly. Therefore, we would rather receive your comments on this blog than via email. It is a better use of our time to address everyone at once rather than answer many similar emails.
  4. You may disagree with me. Discussion and open debate is welcome as it facilitates learning. However, we ask that if you disagree with the post – or with anyone in the comments, for that matter – do so in a way that is respectful. After all, this blog is ultimately promoting Christian ideals, so let us live by the Golden Rule of doing to others as we would want others to do to us.
  5. I reserve the right to delete your comments. This blog is the property of 4L Ministries. We are not obligated to publish your comments. The First Amendment gives you the right to express your opinions on your blog, not mine.

Specifically, we will delete your comments if you post something that is, in our sole opinion, (a) snarky; (b) off-topic; (c) libelous, defamatory, abusive, harassing, threatening, profane, pornographic, offensive, false, misleading, or which otherwise violates or encourages others to violate our sense of decorum and civility or any law, including intellectual property laws; or (d) “spam,” i.e. an attempt to advertise, solicit, or otherwise promote goods and services. You may, however, post a link to your site or most recent blog post (if it does not violate items a-c above).

  • You retain ownership of your comments. We do not own them and we expressly disclaim any and all liability that may result from them. By commenting on our site, you agree that you retain all ownership rights in what you post here and that you will relieve me from any and all liability that may result from those postings.
  • You grant us a license to post your comments. This license is worldwide, irrevocable, nonexclusive, and royalty free. You grant us the right to store, use, transmit, display, publish, reproduce, and distribute your comments in any format including but not limited to a blog, in a book, a video, or presentation.

In short, our goal is to facilitate learning and encouragement by hosting interesting conversations with caring, honest, and respectful people. We believe this simple Comments Policy will facilitate this.
